From Losfer Words Awakenings CD. The Shadow of Morgoth was inspired by the character, Morgoth, in J.R.R. Tolkien's the Silmarillion, who was the first Dark Lord of Middle Earth,scheming and creating evil in his fortresses of Utumno and Angband, (the Iron Hells). For those who are not familiar with the tale Morgoth is the fallen Valar who led the rebellion against Illuvatar, the Creator of Arda, the world on which Tolkien's epic takes place, by singing discord into the Creator's theme. To get a glimpse into just how dark and evil the mind and malice of Morgoth is, simply keep in mind he is the creator of all the evil and fell creatures of Middle Earth including Balrogs, Dragons and Orcs.
